Several notches above the basic community festival, The Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival annually draws 30,000 to 40,000 people to hear its stellar music line-up, browse through the many craft booths and exhibits and eat a variety of Cajun style food.  A strong regional attraction, the festival is beginning to attract nation wide attention.

The Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival was started in 1990 by The Friends of Conroe and is held annually on the downtown square in Conroe, Texas. The Friends of Conroe are a non-profit organization that uses the festival proceeds to benefit the greater Conroe area.
